VIEW FACT SHEET
As its name indicates, this white Champagne is made exclusively from white grapes, in point of fact from Chardonnay. Nevertheless, an original feature of the Drappier House, a splash of Pinot Blanc, called “Blanc Vrai” in Champagne, is sometimes added to the cuvée in order to increase its complexity and roundness.
GRAPE: 95% Chardonnay, 5% Blanc Vrai
THE STORY: The Drappier vineyard covers 100 hectares and constitutes the House’s essential trump card. Since 1808 our family has used its skill to select parcels of land which are particularly well exposed and extremely rich in limestone. For the most part they are located around Urville, where the Pinot Noir, in the majority, finds its loveliest expression and allows the production of very elegant, aromatic wines.
