Tasting notes: The nose expresses spicy, barely woody touches which open up in the mouth, more broadly, with peppery and spicy scents. We can distinguish smoky and meaty aromas, typical of Saint Emilion, then a welcome final liveliness, as an additional freshness and pleasantness.
About the winery: Chateau Grand Corbin is a Grand Cru Classe wine producer located on the northwestern part of the Saint-Emilion plateau. The estate was established in 1852 and produces a grand Vin from Merlot, Cabernet Franc, and Cabernet Sauvignon, and a second wine labeled "Les Charmes de Grand Corbin" from the same grape varieties. In 2012, the group's adjacent estate, Chateau Haut Corbin, was awarded classed-growth status and the two Corbin estates were combined under one label.
