Domaine BENOIT CHEVALLIER Vosne-Romanee 2020
Wine Region: Burgundy - France
Grape: Pinot Noir
Tasting notes: Mingling aromas of wild berries and plums with hints of spices and smoke. Medium to full-bodied, enveloping and elegantly muscular, it's deep and concentrated, with lovely texture and mid-palate amplitude.
About the winery:
Maurice Chevallier took over 4 hectares of the family vineyards in 1971 and started his own Domaine. Two of his children, Eloise and Benoit have been working a small portion of the vines since 2009. They work using traditional methods. During harvest, they sort in the vineyard, all the pressing is done manually, ageing in oak barrels for about 20 months with a reasonable amount of new barrels used. The objective of the Domaine is to produce wines with a true expression of the fruit, specific to the personality of each climate and dimension attributed from different vintages.
