Domaine CLAUDE DUGAT Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru "Lavaux Saint-Jacques" 2017
$480.00 SGD$0.00 SGD
Wine Region: Burgundy - France
Grape: Pinot Noir
Tasting notes: "The 2017 Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru Lavaux Saint-Jacques is also showing well from bottle, wafting from the glass with a deep bouquet of red berries, spices, orange rind, woodsmoke and rich soil tones. On the palate, the wine is medium to full-bodied, supple and succulent, with velvety tannins, lively acids and a layered core, concluding with a long and fragrant finish." - William Kelley, The Wine Advocate
About the winery:
Domaine Claude Dugat, founded in 1955, is widely considered one of the best producers in Gevrey-Chambertin. The six hectares of vineyard, cultivated without chemical fertilizers or weedkillers, deliver only a small quantity of bottles: the demand is so high that there is no more wine to sell at the property. Claude Dugat wines have the finesse, depth and persistence of great Pinot Noirs.
Expert Rating:
Wine Advocate: 94/100
