Tasting notes: "Cropped at derisory yields of 15 hectoliters per hectare, the 2020 Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru Lavrottes unwinds in the glass with aromas of raspberries, cherries, Indian spices, orange rind and smoke. Medium to full-bodied, ample and fleshy, with velvety tannins, lively acids and a long, mineral finish, this is a terrific cuvée in the making." - William Kelly, Wine Advocate
About the winery: Domaine Felettig is one of the names that Burgundy connoisseurs would rather keep to themselves. Gilbert and his sister Christine form the second generation of winegrowers on the estate, after having succeeded from their father and founder of the Domaine, Henri Felettig. Pauline, Gilbert's daughter, has recently joined them. With a history of only 40 years, the Domaine has seen many changes from its very beginning and has expanded rapidly to reach a size of 12.5 hectares, whose 60% rented. Production is small, quality is high, as is the demand, which is why the family's wines are rarely seen outside France.
