Sourced from a single location Elegance Pinot Noir “Crayot” soil Rosé made using the saignée method with addition of Chardonnay Liqueur de dosage aged in wood. Non-filtered
GRAPE:92 % Pinot Noir, 8 % Chardonnay
SERVING TEMPERATURE: 7°C
TASTE PROFILE:Complex bouquet opening on to notes of strawberry, raspberry and violets with toasted nuances. Round, supple, its rather lively spinal column tending the whole, in the mouth it brings red fruits to mind; it is both fresh and complex. A rich Champagne with great persistence.
STORY:The Grande Sendrée takes its name from a parcel of land covered in cinders (cendrée) after the fire which ravaged Urville in 1838. A spelling error having crept into a new version of the land register, today Sendrée is written with “s”, not “c”. On very light soils made up of “crayot”, the Pinot Noir brings its power and vinosity in a very subtle manner. A splash of Chardonnay gives a touch of fresh- ness to this fine saignée rosé.
