Jean-Marie Gobillard was founded by Gervais Gobillard in 1933 who purchased 5 acres in the famed Village of Haut-Villers birth of Champagne.
Situated in the heart of Champagne, 5 kilometers from Epernay, a true crossroads between the valley of the Marne and the Montagne de Reims, Hautvillers, incomparable site, dominates the vineyard with its Abbey where the Grand Cellier Dom Perignon gave rise, around 1681, to the first champagne bubbles.
