Tasting notes: Exhibiting and intense and deeply complex aroma. The wine opens with musk before giving way to seductive red fruit with hints of frankincense, rye bread, minerals, and subtle notes of sweet cedar and savoury spice. The palate is driven by red fruit with hints of dark chocolate, savoury characters, and bergamot. Tannins are fine and meld seamlessly with a bright delicate acidity.

Pimpernel Vineyards is a family-run winery in the heart of the Yarra Valley, only 58 kilometers east of Melbourne's CBD. Pimpernel aims to create elegant, individual wines with an emphasis on traditional winemaking techniques. Inspired by the great wines and traditions of Burgundy and the Rhone Valley, their wines aim to offer an expression of its unique terroir.
