Wine Region: Rhone-Valley - France Grape: Syrah, Viognier
Tasting notes: "The 2013 Côte Rôtie Fongeant is another elegant, silky wine—yet it offers more tannin, as well as acidity than the Côte Bodin. Blackcurrants, blackberries and the aroma of freshly crushed rocks emerge from this ultra-pure, precise and beautifully delineated 2013 that needs to be forgotten for 4-5 years." - Wine Advocate
About the winery: It was in 1997 that Stephane Ogier joined the family estate, rooted for seven generations on the hillsides of Ampuis. After studying viticulture and oenology in Beaune, Stephane left home to work with some of the best winemakers in Burgundy and abroad. By taking over from his father Michel, he chooses to do specific work on his different terroirs to reveal the uniqueness of these places full of history.
