Wine Region: Rhone-Valley - France Grape: Syrah, Viognier
Tasting notes: "Although the bouquet of the 2017 Cote Rotie La Vialliere seemed a bit reserved compared to my recollection of it prior to bottling, this medium to full-bodied effort remains awfully impressive overall. Hints of cedar frame, blackberries and spice are on the nose, while the wine is concentrated and expansive on the palate, with a rich, velvety feel and a long, mouthwatering finish." - Joe Czerwinski, Wine Advocate
About the winery: In 1997, Stephane Ogier joined the family estate, rooted for seven generations on the hillsides of Ampuis. After studying viticulture and oenology in Beaune, Stephane left home to work with some of the best winemakers in Burgundy and abroad. By taking over from his father Michel, he chooses to do specific work on his different terroirs to reveal the uniqueness of these places full of history.
