Chateau HAUT-BRION Pessac-Leognan 2011 (White)
Wine Region: Bordeaux - France
Grape: Semillon, Sauvignon Blanc
Tasting notes:Vintage 2011 displays great minerality on the nose, with precision and clarity, notes of green apple, lime flower, zest and white peach. The palate is medium-bodied with great precision on the entry, lovely poise, very elegant with a beautiful, delicate white peach and mineral finish with hints of guava and lychee in the background. Superb.
About the winery:The first authentic Bordeaux wine chateau is located on a terroir used for winegrowing since the first century Gallo-Roman Period. The first Bordeaux wine named after its terroir rather than its owner, Chateau Haut-Brion was the world's first luxury brand in 1521. Thanks to its long history as one of Bordeaux's most prestigious wines, the estate has left its mark on the region for centuries.
