Tasting notes: Medium-bodied, supple yet gravelly tannin, density and thickness, delivered with no heaviness, cool fresh raspberry acidity, and the finish, infused with black tea.
About the winery: Mount Mary Vineyard is a family-owned estate located in Yarra Valley, Australia. Founded in 1971, it was one of the first vineyards planted in the area. The Middletons were inspired by the wines of Bordeaux and Burgundy and sought a site to establish a vineyard entirely planted with French grape varieties. They found it in Mount Mary, a north-facing slope with ideal soil. The estate now has 30 acres under vine.
