STEPHANE OGIER Cote-Rotie "Cognet" 2018

Wine Region: Rhone-Valley - France

Grape: Syrah, Viognier

Tasting notes: "On the Côte Brune, north of the dam, the 2018 Côte Rôtie Cognet combines notes of cherries, raspberries and olives on the nose. It's full-bodied, open-knit and maybe just a touch coarse, but with a long, velvety finish." - Joe Czerwinski, The Wine Advocate

About the winery:
It was in 1997 that Stephane Ogier joined the family estate, rooted for seven generations on the hillsides of Ampuis. After studying viticulture and oenology in Beaune, Stephane left home to work with some of the best winemakers in Burgundy and abroad. By taking over from his father, Michel, he chooses to do specific work on his different terroirs in order to reveal the uniqueness of these places full of history.
