DRAPPIER Champagne Brut Nature Zero Dosage Submarine Edition NV (2 bottles)

Notify me when this product is available:

Wine Region: Champagne - France

Grape: Pinot Noir

Tasting notes: A 100% Pinot Noir Cuvee with no dosage. It contains only the wine's natural residual sugar at less than 2g per bottle. Moreover, the use of an absolute minimum of sulphur gives the wine the freedom to express itself totally. On the nose there is crisp and at the same time ripe fruit. On the palate, it is upright and pure, with abundant finesse and freshness.

For 12 months, the submerged bottle that bears traces of underwater life grew in the darkness of the Atlantic Ocean, 30 meters deep. This wooden box contains two bottles of the same champagne, one from the depths of the ocean and one from Drappier's cellars in Urville.

About the winery:
Although the vines in Urville were originally planted by the Romans 2000 years ago, it was Saint Bernard, founder of Clairvaux Abbey, who had the cellars of Drappier built-in 1152.
Seven centuries later, in 1808, around this magnificently preserved testimony to medieval times, where the exceptional Cuvees slumber, the family Domaine was created which today is headed by Michel Drappier. An area in which Pinot Noir thrives, a grape variety which "runs through our veins", Urville lies where the vineyard was first planted and is now cultivated according to organic and natural principles.
Today, rather than sophisticated, sometimes overdone excellence, they prefer authenticity and a natural approach. Thanks mainly to very low quantities of dosage and extremely limited use of sulphites, of which Brut Nature Without Sulphur Cuvee is the culmination, they are able to highlight the multifaceted aspects of our terroirs and our wine-making.
