CHATEAU DU SEUIL

Mr & Mrs Daussun

Before Jeannine and Philippe Carreau Gaschereau did take over the estate in 1973, they cultivated olive trees, almond trees and vines. From then on, the vine-growers undertake a vast restructuring program and orient it towards viticulture. Since July 2014, the domain belongs to Mr and Mrs DAUSSUN.

Ranging from the Puyricard plateau to the summit of the Trévaresse massif, between 350 and 450 meters above sea level, the vineyard of Château du Seuil enjoys a lot of sunshine, a diversified terroir particularly favourable to the culture of grapevine: stony and dry stony clay soils with various exposures; a hot and dry climate in summer but cool at night; the permanent and beneficial breath of the mistral that reduces the risk of illness; an altitude that limits the alcoholic degree of the wines and gives them a great freshness, especially for whites and rosés.
