OLIVIER LEFLAIVE

Leflaive Family

The Leflaives can trace their Burgundian history back to Claude Leflaive who made his home in Place du Monument in Puligny Montrachet in 1717. Since then the family has always owned vines in Burgundy.

THE SPIRIT

Olivier Leflaive’s philosophy involves producing great wines, with the utmost simplicity. However, a great wine is the fruit of work, from the wine to the cellar. It is therefore indispensable to maintain long-lasting relationships with rigorously selected winegrowers.

MASTERING EVERY LINK IN THE CHAIN

This expertise and their experience in buying grapes allow them to have total mastery over vinification and wine maturation. As such, each cuvée benefits form an individual approach, keeping the estate's spirit and ensuring the authenticity of each terroir is fully respected.

THE ART OF CUVEE

The success of great wine is based on the principle of the round cuvée, referring to a blend of wines from different plots within a single appellation that complement one another in their structure and their aromas to ensure a perfect balance. They are reinterpreting this principle, creating regional and village appellations.
