Domaine JEAN-MARC VINCENT Santenay Vieilles Vignes 2021

Wine Region: Burgundy - France

Grape: Pinot Noir

Tasting notes: "Benefiting from impeccable viticulture and also the choice to declassify any under-performing lots to Bourgogne level, Vincent's 2021 Santenay Vieille Vignes bursts with aromas of orange zest, plums, smoke and spices. Medium to full-bodied, ample and fleshy, with a rich core of fruit and fine, chalky tannins, it's a terrific effort that can compete with the results of more propitious growing seasons—and its aromatic, supple style will make it especially appealing young. - William Kelley, The Wine Advocate

About the winery: Domaine Jean-Marc Vincent is a small estate in Santenay, Burgundy, managed by Jean-Marc and Anne Marie. They cultivate the vineyard close to organic farming and use caterpillar-tracked engines instead of heavy machines. They "tress" their vines and plant them in high density, resulting in wines of exceptional intensity. Harvest is done by hand and sorted in the vineyard. The estate is known for its traditional methods and respect for Jean Marc's grandfather's traditions.
