Family Heritage

The Leflaives can trace their Burgundian history back to Claude Leflaive who made his home in Place du Monument in Puligny Montrachet in 1717. Since then the family has always owned vines in Burgundy.

The Spirit

Olivier Leflaive’s philosophy involves producing great wines, with the utmost simplicity. However, a great wine is the fruit of work, from the wine to the cellar. It is there force indispensable to maintain long lasting relationships with rigorous selected winegrowers.

Mastering every link in the chain

This expertise and their experience in bying grapes allow them to have total mastery over vinification and wine maturation. As such each cuvee benefits form an individual approach, keeping the spirit of the estate and ensuring the authenticity of each terroir is fully respected.

The Art of cuvee

The success of a great wine is based on the principle of the cuvee ronde, referring to a blend of wines from different plots within a single appellation that complement one another in their structure and their aromas to ensure a perfect balance. They are reinterpreting this principle, creating regional and village appellations.
